Yes it will, Only Windows Vista Starter, I had two computers one Windows Vista Ultimate (it had 1 GB RAM) and the other with Windows Vista Home Premium (it had 512 MB RAM but only 256 MB RAM was available) it worked fine (no aero) but very slow, If you'd ask Microsoft they would recommend Windows Vista Starter, only $100. For Windows Aero (flip 3d too) you need at least 512 MB RAM and 128 MB graphics. I'd like to tell you that everyone is telling you "No" because of the recommended minimum requirements for a 32-bit or 64-bit os,For windows Aero it needs at least 512 MB RAM, don't think it'll work on 256 MB RAM
You should get Windows Vista Starter since it is a 32-bit os thats guaranteed to work on a 256 MB RAM system,
You're welcome.

i'm afraid the respond is easy, you do no longer. Microsoft advise between 512 MB & 1GB of equipment memory via fact the minimum requirement, based on the version of Vista. Microsoft have a "living house windows Vista: improve Adviser" gadget on their internet site which will inform you in case you could run Vista, and how nicely. in case you probably did be in a position to get it to run, it could run approximately as nicely as a three legged mule on the Melbourne cup.

Min is 512, and even that, if you have a slow processor, you will soon find out what 'watching paint dry' really meant.
** Last comment, Vista is NOT 64bit only **
