Since there is not equality here, we will simplify the expressions.

first combine like terms (3x^2+5x^2 -5x + 4x - 6 + 4) this becomes 8x^2 -x -2.

you set them up like regular addition:
3x^2 -5x -6
5x^2+4x+4
Then add the like terms and the aswer would be 8x^2-x-2.

u do this by adding all the same variables for example 3x^2+5x^2= 8x^2
and -5x+4x=-x
and -6+4=-2
so the answer is (8x^2-x-2)

8x^2-x-2 it is simple addition if you were to write the problem out like (3x^2-5x-6)
+(5x^2+4x+4)
-------------------
8x^2-x-2
It is sometimes easier to see it.
