If ur keyboard is not working open up the laptop. Draw a diagram of what u did and write down the steps. Notebooks parts like rams, harddisk, DVD roms, keyboards and battery are easy to replace. Even the LCD screen is not difficult. The difficult part is u must be patient to open up the laptop and write down what u did.
You unscrew and dislodge the keyboard and clean it plug it back to run and see if it work. If it don't go online search your local store and find out how much will it cost for the part and compare it to the one available online see who is cheaper. If the local store have one with a acceptable price, ask him to fix it for you and save all the prob. U can search on line now and u will see the parts are cheap. $12 - $40 at most. Good luck
