Some aren't really that afraid of dying, they are afraid of how they will die.

i think people are not scared to die, they are scared of the unknown, what will happen when they die, where will they go, if they are gonna go some where when they die, if there is an after life, if their sins will be forgiven, who they wil leave behind, will the people the leave behind be okay. All the what the what ifs come into play, stuff like that. Personally i am not afraid to die, i am just not ready to go out on a date with him just yet. I plan on having all my ducks in row before i pass.

First of all, to God's Leading Lady, how was that an answer to this question in any way, shape or form?
Being scared to die is an inherent quality in humans and all animals that makes sense evolutionarily. We are programmed to not want to die. As living things, we're supposed to want to live, so that we can multiply and survive as a species.
On a more personaly level, normally people who are afraid to die don't believe in any sort of afterlife. Consequently, they see death as simply ceasing to exist. For those who can fully grasp that concept, it is truly terrifying.
Interesting question, mate!

Most people are scared to die because of the unknown. They don't know what exactly is going to happen to them afterwards (if anything depending on your religious beliefs.) So while we are here we should make the best of it because life is full of wonders and you choose to live your life the way you want it. So choose life! Always make smart choices.
And live life to it's fullest because you don't know how long you will be here.

I want to live because I don't have anything better to do at the moment. I'm not afraid of death. It's natural. I do have some worries about how I die though.

I'm not really afraid of death. I think people just fear the unknown. Even with all the religions out there that try to explain death, noone really knows what happens until they die. I think of it as the end of cycle all things reach an eventual end. I can't stop it, or escape it, so why fear it.

I don't know where to put my body. I don't want the expense associated with dying, and all that stuff. And
I don't want to be in a cemetary, that's just creepy. Also I need to keep my wife happy.
So basically it's not like I had the option before I was born; I only have the option now. I asked Jesus and he didn't even bother answering.

Because I was being electrocuted in a work accident once and as I felt the life draining from me I knew that I would do anything for one more moment of life. Now whenever things seem bad I take a slow deep breath and am thankful to experience another precious moment of life.

The unknown is frightening for all of us--and the biggest unkown is death--we believe, through our faith, that we know what will happen, but we can't really be sure. As for why I want to live--I'm curious. I always want to know what will happen tomorrow. I love life. Even if I'm having a terrible day, I'm wondering what the next day will be like and what it will bring.

I want to live because, most days, I have too much fun. I'm not afraid to die, I'm afraid to leave my wife and kids behind.
