I'm trying to save him from becoming apathetic and materialistic, like so many teenagers in the US.

I'm trying to save the next generation. I know it's a big world, and the next generation is huge. But by doing small things like crossing the street by red light, or saving energy so that the poles wont melt and the polar bear stay alive and the next generation would be able to know how the bear look like, It would save the next generation.
