Molarity = moles / L

moles = molarity x L = 3.24 x 0.250 = 0.81

Molecular mass KNO3 = 101.1 g/mol

101.1 g/mol x 0.81 mol = 81.9 g

Atomic weights: K=39 N=14 O=16 KNO3=101

Let solution be called S.

250mLS x 3.24molKNO3/1000mLS x 101gKNO3/1molKNO3 = 81.8gKNO3

3.24 M * .250 L = moles of KNO3.
moles KNO3/[molality (moles/kg) KNO3] = mass KNO3

ok, well molarity (M)=moles/L, and u have M and mL
convert mL to L (ie: 250*10^(-3). and u knw moles= mass/molar mass...
3.24=mol/0.25L
mol=0.81
molar mass KNO3=101.10g/mol
therefore: mass=moles*molar mass
=0.81*101.10=81.89g
