He dragged his bottom along the floor (like dogs do when they have worms).
He was not a robot (he bled) and he ate food with the family so he must have pooed and weed. I think Tim Burton was probably hoping people wouldn't think about it.
My question is of all things to give him as hands why the hell did Vincent Price give him scissors? They were hardly practical, even if he was supervising him it was bound to end in tragedy.

But I bet he had one of those toilets that are common in Europe where water sprays up to wash it off and toilet paper isn't necessary.
That's how I would do it if I had scissors for hands.
