I hated crackers!!! Especially ginger ale!!! In my earlier months of pregnancy I used to get sick real bad. I usually would eat frosted mini wheats cereal with banana, a bagel w/ cream cheese, pretty much whatever i craved. If I didn't feel like eating I would drink a glass of juice, sprite or pepsi. Doesn't sound rel healthy but I always went with what my body felt like having. The rest of the day I was alright. Oh and it helps to get out of bed SLOWLY. made the mistake of getting out to quick, got dissy and then felt too sick to eat.

I'm on my third and last pregnancy because of morning sickness. And I don't mean the cute little "Oh I don't feel well",I mean the all day all night for the last 4 months and I'm going into my 5th month and still don't have anything that I can eat without getting sick. I have been hospitalized twice in the last 4 months, I've fainted 4 times and I began this pregnancy weighing 139 pnds. and now I weigh 112 pnds. I have tried everything the books say, I've taken the advice of every friend, relative, stranger, psychic, and doctor on how to cope with morning sickness since I know there is no cure but nothing seems to work. So only thing I can tell you is do the best you can with what you can and just look forward to having a healthy baby at the end. GOOD LUCK

The crackers only worked for me for a couple of days, the ginger ale for a week I think... all that I could have were butter croissants for a while. They were the only thing that seemed to absorb all the acid inside my stomach. I just went with what I felt like at the moment, whatever it was... toast, popsicles, ice cream... and try eating little portions every hour, if you let yourself be hungry, you are going to feel much worse.

I have the same problem right now. Even water is icky! Just keep eating because it does get worse if your stomach is empty. I can almost always manage a bagel w/ peanut butter for breakfast. Protein will stay with you longer, so that's why the peanut butter seems to help. Nuts, grilled chicken breast, hard cheese cut into chunks, cottage cheese, Kern's fruit nectar drink (has sugar added, but if I drink a can I do feel a little better), Subway turkey breast subs (Wed night they are under $3 for a 6 inch turkey sub), low sodium TV dinners, anything someone else can make for you so you don't have to think about it while you are making it, lol! Peppermints didn't work for me, they grossed me out! Take your vitamins right before you go to sleep (not on an empty stomach) or with your biggest meal of the day (usually dinner) so they don't add to your nausea.

suck on a peppermint, eat some toast, or some dry cheerios. I would stay away from milk. Basically you will feel a little better if you can keep something on your stomach. Eat anything light that you can keep down. Also I found that if i snacked lightly throughout the morning I seemed to do better than trying to eat an entire breakfast. Good luck and I hope the morning sickness goes away quickly.

I found that starchy and salty and sweet stuff was easier to eat. So you might try:

1. Grits (or Cream of Wheat if you're from up North)
2. Pretzels
3. Pop Tarts
4. Sprite
5. Mac n Cheese
6. Beef jerkey
7. Plain pasta with some butter and salt
8. French fries
9. Peaches (drink the peach syrup from the can - cool it in the fridge - it settles your tummy)
10. Ice cream or milk shakes

ginger will actually take away your nausea, but it has to be real ginger, not ginger ale. animal crackers were a morning favorite for me, though.

ginger ale yuck! I alway eat something with a lot of carbs. I don't know how well you like this but I love cream of wheat. Its easy on your belly and will stick on it for awhile.

My best friend had terrible morning sickness and she swears that sucking on a peppermint made it go away. I'm not sure if that's what you're asking, or if you want to know what food you can get down while having morning sickness, but I thought maybe this would help. :-)

Chewing cinnamon or peppermint gum, Toast, Chocolate milk, Lemonade, Plain popcorn - anything that's not too salty, sour, or highly processed usually does the trick.
