I think it's an unwritten law that when a woman reaches a certain age she MUST get the "granny fro". Why do they all have this hairstyle?

my grandma wears her hair short & permed, because it is easy for her to take care of & style...but it looks nice because she doesn`t have it all pouffy & frizzy!!! she`s 82 & she looks great for her age!!!

Suppose that perhaps it is easier to maintain and old people with long hair look a little scary for some reason.

hot flashes. i'm serious, it's to keep them cooler. also easier to do your hair when it's short and permed. another reason is that short hair makes you look younger. but seriously, when most women hit menopause they get their hair cut due to hot flashes.
