I gave up having birthday parties a LONG time ago.
Obviously, if I'm mad at you, you must have done or said SOMETHING! I don't get mad for no reason. You need to look at your behavior and figure out why you owe me a serious apology.

I'm not mad at you and my birthday is Tuesday. I didn't know about the party. Musta been a surprise party but you can come and we'll just pretend I didn't know anything about it.
By the way, I LOVE chocolate cake!
