Al Qaeda would not be in Iraq if we had not invaded. Instead of going to war against someone who had nothing to do with 9/11 we should have gone to Afghanistan/Pakistan and flatten the mountains, if necessary to get Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda.
I wonder if the fact that Bin Laden money bailed Dubya out of at least one of his failed business ventures has anything to do with why he is still on the lam.
When we went into Iraq we had no exit strategy and now 4 years later it is up to the Democrats to come up with a strategy? Why doesn't Mr. "I want a war czar" come up with one? When the executive branch doesn't do their job somebody has to do it and so the legislative branch seems to offer some suggestions, or not.

The Al Queda leadership is in Southern Afghanistan/Northern Pakistan, that's where the US should be looking.
But, as Musharraf is the only friend Bush has left in the Muslim world, that applecart is not going to be upset now, is it?
Also, ask yourself, if the stated objective of Al Queda is to kill Americans, why are they in Iraq?
In case you can't work that one out, I'll tell you:
Because there are thousands of AMERICANS IN IRAQ! Dummy!

they're not in Iraq. they don't exist in the sense that the media is telling you ... simple minded people. Google CIA al queda and learn something.. we have the most technically advanced intelligence system in the game.. we don't just let our assets turn on us ... it's so contrary to policy that it defies explanation..
Read the North woods document
Read the P.NA.C. website
Read The Grand Chess Board by Brizninsky
this is happening exactly as it was calculated to do...
where would the sheia malitia come up with the funding to fight the US?... think about it it's costing us 12 bil a month to stay and fight... who's finding them that we can't see... think, think,....THINK!!!!

Confront AlQaeda? Why not confront the real terrorist in the world, George W. Bush?? Of the five worst terrorists ever to walk this Earth in the past seventy five years:
Joseph Stalin killed ten million of his countrymen and died peacefully in his sleep;
Adolph Hitler gassed 6 million Jews, then committed suicide before he could be tried for his crimes;
Idi Amin slaughtered 2 million people in Uganda, and retired in luxurious exile.
Saddam Hussein killed more than a million people in Iraqi and is the only one of these five major terrorists ever to be sentenced to death for his heinous murders.
George W. Bush is responsible for the deaths of 675,000 Iraqis and 3,300 U.S. soldiers, yet still has yet to be held accountable for his insane killing spree.
The Democrats have no strategy. Like Republicans, they don't have a clue as to how to get us out of this mess that the insipid Bush administration got us into; like every other political sham, this so-called 'war' was unconstitutionally and illegally declared for three obtuse reasons:
1. The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein ever since the days of Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized, ridiculed and humiliated for not 'finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2. Dick Cheney and all his OIL buddies want all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so they can get richer and richer and richer feeding America's addiction to cheap foreign OIL;
3. Ever since World War II, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex recognized how profitable 'war' could be. So it bought up all the politicians, hired pricey lobbyists, and formed special interest groups to encourage and promote more 'war'. Thus, the U.S. was involved in the Korean Conflict; the Cuban Missile Crisis; the Cold War; Vietnam and Desert Storm.
Every politician knows this current 'war' is a god damn sham. Americans and U.S. soldiers have been conned into believing we're there to "bring democracy" to Iraq, when - in fact - we're there only to steal all that OIL and allow WAR PROFITEERS such as McDonnell-Douglass; Lockheed-Martin; the Carlyle Group; Sikorsky; and Halliburton to make billions in profits, thanks to the American taxpayers who will be paying off a TRILLION-DOLLAR debt for generations to come. -RKO- 05/06/07

No. It's Bush who gave al-Qaida a free pass in Afghanistan.
No one is listening to the neocons anymore. The American people know they are just right-wing loonies--if not outright trators to America.

The Democrat strategy is to do anything that makes Bush look bad. Whether it's Iraq, the economy, whatever. In their eyes, Bush only does evil.

I doubt the Dems plan to "confront" al qaeda. More of a "please go back to whereever you came from and do your killing there so we can go home."
