Pat Conroy and Irwin Shaw are my two favorite authors and many others similar them. I want to write in their genre but can't pinpoint which one they write in. Does anyone know what their genre is? Thanks.

Both of these men write about various wars and combat and military. I think that falls under mainstream fiction.

What I read and what genre I write in are completely different. I read murder mysteries and cannot stand reading science fiction/fantasy (at least most of it) but I write fantasy. If you were meant to write, the stories will just come to you. You don't write a specific genre just because that's what you read. ~Eve

I don't understand your question. Do you mean, Book Journal
or Genre> Male or female.
