nose piercing?

Question

thinking of getting my nose pierced.does anyone have a nose piercing ? did it go alright ?did it hurt when you had it done? how did they do it and also whats the chance of the face being paralysed. do major things usually go wrong or is it vry rare ? thank you.

I had my nose pierced on xmas eve and I love it. :) The process is fast, a short nip if anything. The piercing will be sore to the touch for a little while, but you shouldn't be touching anyway, except to clean.

Healing was straightforward for me, just follow aftercare of regular salt soaks. Some people will get "the dreaded bump" during healing, which is a keloid or hypertrophic scarring - both of which can be quickly cleared up with dabs of tea tree oil. Some advise against tea tree oil, but my piercing threatened to misbehave and it worked for me within a few days.

Go to a piercing STUDIO and be sure to be pierced with a needle, rather than a gun or suchlike. If you're going for a stud, I recommend a nostril screw - especially for healing. Studios offer nice enough looking ones, of different colours etc - but there are also great variations in style available online. I bought a nice white gold stud last week.

I've never heard of paralysis either, it sounds like something made-up to frighten people. :/

I never had mine done, I've just my belly button peirced but my friend had hers done, twice cause she let it close up first time,. She had no problem with it apart from work and school insisting on it being removed, I think the only time you should worry about problems are when you have a clef lip/palate as your nerves are different.
Just be sure to go to a good peircing parler that will give you good after care advice.

Had mine done twice. No problems so long as you take care of it, plenty of antiseptic cream inside and make sure you keep turning it. Clean hands first. All piercings hurt but only for a second or two. It's worth it.

likely a nostril piercing because the position I stay abdomen button piercings are really straightforward and nostril piercings look large (i'm speaking about the element of your nostril in case you mean the interior then abdomen button because the interior piercings make you look as if a bull)

Hi, I had my nose pierced aproximately 19 years ago..and it didn't hurt at all..the only drawback was my eyes watered a little...only wished I'd been wearing waterproof mascara. Its very rare for things to go wrong .....and everybody comments on it !!

The only thing I had was my eyes watering up (not to bad though).Just make sure you go to a good place and keep in clean in healing.

yeah, it went fine..lol...and yeah..out of all my piercings..( i have 10 )...my nose did hurt pretty bad... i dont want to scare you from doing it..because i totally do not regret getting mine done,..its also a plus if u are not afraid of needles..im not...so that helped too...

i have mine done...it`s very quick & painless!!! they do it with a needle, so it`s over in the blink of an eye...i`ve never heard about any cases of paralysis, many of my friends have had it done & i know professional piercers as well, & i`ve never heard about anything like that!!!

i think they are cute, my friend had one and got an infection though. make sure you go to a good quality salon if you are gonna get it done.

I got it done about a yesr ago and it got infected . The pain was excruciating and now my nose is paraalysed. Please dont do this to yourself!
