ok...this ones kinda tricky...i have four different choices, but one needs to be changed so that it is correct....

Which solution, when appropriately combined, could be used to produce a buffer??
a- HCl and NaOH
b- HNO2 and NaNO3
c- KI and KOH
d- HF and NaOH

But you have to change it to HNO2 + NaNO2. That way, adding a little HCl to the solution shifts the mix more to HNO2, while adding NaOH shifts it toward NaNO2. And because HNO2 is a weak acid, you don't get the full impact of H+ and OH-.
