SupportAve? "Beliefts" IS? It's amazing you even know his name, as illiterate as you are. I envy you on how simple your little world is though - if you're not GOP, you're liberal, and there's nothing else. You must be really happy in your little swamp.

He's a moderate Republican, critical of Bush's handling of the Iraq War but not enough to ever vote Democrat.

He became a best-selling author during the Reagan era of a push for larger budgets for the military. I don't know about domestic issues, but he is certainly as Reagan Republican on defense matters as any writer on military issues.

I think he is rather independent. You notice that in all of his writings and novels he never identifies his characters with any particular political party or ideology.

I think you got it about right. He likes to play mental war games too much, understandably because he IS good at it, and has made a good living (understatement) therefrom.

He seems to be rather independant from what I've read in his books. I'm pretty sure he at least thinks that he is.

I would say he's a moderate conservative if pressed.
