I try, but you often have to be very careful about that as someone told me.

If I could help that stranger, I would at least try. But as much as I would like to be that person all the time, to be honest (like you asked for), I haven't. And I don't think anyone has always reached out to those in need. I know I have walked past a homeless person before without stopping to give them some cash, or driven past a hitchhiker without slowing down...yes, I'm guilty of all that many times, but there are also the many times that I do do what I can to help them.

It all depends on what you mean. I can't count the number of flat tires I have changed for people I don't know. However I'm not going to pull over and help someone at 2 in the morning on a deserted road. I don't give money to panhandlers but have helped pay a grocery bill for a woman who just didn't have enough. I guess I am selective in who I help but couldn't give you a set of standards that have to be met.

I did yesterday!!! Lol. It was 10:00 at night and it was kinda chilly. And I saw this guy walking along the side of the street with earphones in his head listening to music. And I see walking all the time because he works at Jewel. So I felt sorry that he had to walk such a looonnnggg way back home so I offered him a ride and he said yes. So I gave him a ride he said Thank You and then I continued to drive home. It felt good to help someone! :) Now I'm probably going to drive him every single time I see him. :) lol.

I did a few weeks ago, actually. I passed by some kids (well, teenagers, I think) on the sidewalk; one asked if I had spare change, which I didn't. I saw an ATM on the other side of the street, went over, got some cash, went back and gave them $20. I also told them that I didn't do that often, and asked them not to spread it around...

I do all the time. I don't know why, but I just can't walk away from someone who needs help. I've given an old lady my phone number and told her to call me if she ever needed a ride to get food or go to the doctor. She didn't have anybody to help her. I felt so bad for her. I had never met her before that day.
I just wish there was someone there when I need help, but there never is.

Depends on what the stranger needs. $100, yeah right. Food, I'll give them left overs and free rolls.
