This is a complex Ion and didn't know how to do subscript (en) is an ethylenediamine molecule H2N-(CH2)-NH2. Also do you know how to get the Oxidation Number? Some of the elements have more than one listed. Thanks, I am just not getting this yet.

The charge on en = 0. On SCN- is -1. On Cl- is -1. The two anionic ligands add up to -2. But the overall charge on the complex ion (outside the brackets) is +1. So Co is 3+. In other complex ions (just not this one), Co =s 2+
