In our 8th grade writing class, we were assigned to find a movie to comment upon. (criticize/compliment) However, I've seen very few movies, given that the movies ocassionally put on during the last day of the school year/day before school recess break. I've seen the 1st Harry Potter Movie, the Sound of Music (I don't know if that counts since it is a musical), Finding Nemo, a documentary of the Holocaust, Flubber, and a vague medieval movie. Since none of those movies particularly stand out as a clear dislike/like, I am willing to see/rent an appropriate movie for the assignment. Any suggestions? :)

Hotel Rwanda. One of the best and saddest movies I've ever seen. About the Rwandan Genocide and how the US did nothing about, not even considering it a genocide.
Rated Pg-13

Signs or Blow these are both great movies that keep you thinking about them after you've watched them. you'll have alot to say/write about both.

Watch "Mean Girls" - it's about popular girls in high school. You'll like it and you'll be able to find plenty to comment on.
