Ladies, would you want your handmaiden to be your husband's concubine so he could have more children? These were the actions of women in the past like Abraham's wife Sarah and Jacob's wives Leah and Rachel. Would you want to take after their example?

I doubt I would care for a handmaiden to be honest.

While I would love to have sister wives, I would wish us all to be on equal footing. Handmaiden is a term that does not really "suit" me in this particular lifetime.

But, as I have said, I do not have a jealousy issue. I would prefer the female be a permanent part of the family, not disposable as the term suggests.

Do you mean, the four of us aren't enough for you already?

I don't much care for concubines, I don't think a man would either. The quills are too painful, and a human male cannot breed with a rodent.

No I am sorry I would not have a handmaiden nor would I do well with sister wives.

No, Sir, actions in the past do not have any say over how the present is run. I wouldn't want a man that would S LU T himself out like that. Nasty business is what you intend. You must honor those Christian vows you took!

That is so utterly disgusting...
You know most women have a brain. And we all know how to use it brilliantly.
Shame on you for thinking it is OK to share ones inner self. That is just insane self righteous b.s.

Considering the times in which those women lived, I doubt they had a choice about the matter.
