A star has no external ignition but can still burst into flames.
A volcano.
A Phoenix
Those 3 match the criteria, unless it is a trick question.

I was going to say a tapered canle, but then I read that it has no external ignition, so that went out the window.
Then I thought it was a gas, but no, that can't be right.
Then I thought a volcano, but I don't think that works either.
Now, all I have is a headache from thinking.
It's the no external ignition part that is driving me nuts..........
I am sorry to say, I have no idea.
Please let me know what it is though please, because it is going to drive me insane!!!!!!!!!
I hope someone gets it right.
