G'day. Certainly as an Aussie I'm quite pleased with the outcome of the World Cup - the Australian team played really well and despite the criticism that's been levelled at them, I beleive the came through as the rightful victors.
In terms of the English team, I certainly wouldn't consider their performance as being 'bad' by any means. I've been thoroughly impressed by the team since they won the Ashes in 2005, and have been following their progress ever since. That said, I find it difficult to pick out a player that has 'failed' the team, but instead, i think Paul Collingwood in particularly has certainly shined in recent times as an integral part of the English side. Things didn't go their way in the World Cup, but they've proved in the past that they have the ability to beat the best.

Yes Australians are enjoying their victory......and ofcourse they deserve that joy after so much hard work....! the reason of their Birts failure is same as that of the other teams...i can't pick a single player , becuase whole team share the credit of win as well as the defeat togather and sometimes it includes the managment too !! England was not a strong side from the beginning of this WC so it was not possible to perform superb with that becuase there were stronger sides participating against them Like NZ, SA, SL, Australia.... enough to knock them off the semis !...2-3 better players can not bring the victory alone !

Naturally I was very pleased with the result and the great games from other sides too. As for the Poms, well I think you lack mental toughness, discipline, a hard work ethic, determination and above all a burning desire to win!
We Aussies especially love beating you above all other teams, therefore you need that same motivation against us!
You have talented players but need cohesion, team spirit. Good luck ,maybe you'll be stronger next Ashes and our "new" team will be weaker..Doubt it though!! :-)

England players lacked the determination, dedication and mental toughness which Australia had. Michael Vaughn and Andrew Flintoff were the greatest disappointment for England.

The number of sixes hit by Gilchrist amounts to eight in the finals, compared to two in the previous 10 games.
because of the squash ball
Gilchrist's average without the last innings would have been a mere 30.40 compared to the 45.30 after the finals.
the squash ball help to boost his average
now everybody knows astralia R cheaters
cheaters are cheaters
nothing but the cheaters
like shane worne gilchirisst might have taken drugs too

well the english seemed to play with a defensive attitude, though the domestic structure in england seems to be shifting towards 20 -20 cricket
as for the one player who failed your side, it is your captain vaughan

we think you Brits did bad because you DID do very badly. one player who failed you, just to name one, is your captain, Michael Vaughan. he even admitted it to the MEDIA.

11 players make up the team ... then there is the support staff (trainers, physios etc) ... then there are the management team blah blah blah ... it really is unfair to try to blame any one person for any teams failure in CWC 2007.
