why should men leave the seat down when wemen dont leave it up?i see it as a two way street.

This business with the toilet seat has to be one of the most ridiculous "issues" in the entire universe! How long does it take to flip the damn seat up or down--two seconds? If having to do this is really so terribly annoying for you, then you had better ask your doctor for some tranquilizers, because you are a budding basket-case.
So cut your spouse and other family members some slack--just ACCEPT that for a total of less than a couple of minutes each week you may need to reposition the toilet seat, and you will probably lower your blood pressure by 30 points and save yourself from having a stroke.

I leave the seat up out of a military habit...in basic training and tech school, if the MTI or the MTL had to touch your seat to inspect it, it was an automatic failure

Women plop down and land in the toilet, and on the icky urine on the side of the seat, men don't usually have to deal with that. We usually don't leave urine on the seat, so it's better down.

Because you supposed to do that you don't want company coming into your house and see that the toilet seat is up when they have to use the restroom that is very rood and dirty.
