I took a test around the 20th of March...I swear it had a faint second line...meaning positive. Then 5 days later I had a period...for 2 days. Then 4 days ago I found out I'm pregnant...and began bleeding yesterday...both of these "periods" have been 2 weeks late, exactly. Is it possible that the baby is fine and I'm 2 months along or was the first test inaccurate and now am I miscarrying in my 6th week? I passed a small blod clot yesterday...not even a half inch long and seeming to be weak tissue. I'm going insane wondering. The doctor won't know what it is untill tomorrow when my hCG levels get tested again. But in the meantime, it's killing me. I've lost 5 babies already...I've had one that's survived and is 3 now. The thought of losing this one is unbearable. Does anyone know what to do or what it could be?

The doctor has not given you any idea? When this happened to me I was told straight out by the doctors what they thought was happening. By the grace of God, I had a baby girl who is 5 years old now. So, the whole bleeding thing is not always a negative sign, but should be evaluated by a train professional ASAP.
It's unfortunate that you have to wait until tomorrow. Can't you go to the hospital now and get checked out?

Sorry you are going through this. My first miscarriage (14 weeks) I actually went into labor. I had bled during the entire pregnancy but the doctor's kept checking me and the baby was growing fine . My second one (10 weeks) I was bleeding the entire time again and at my first ultrasound they noticed the heart rate was too low and knew it wasn't a viable pregnancy. I went back for another u/s and it showed the baby had died but was still in there. It took nearly 3 weeks to expel everything from my body. I am pregnant again (6 months) and bled up til about 12 weeks with some spotting at 16 weeks too. Everything is fine and she is right on target. My doctor said that bleeding doesn't necessarily mean a miscarriage but it does put you in the category of a threatened miscarriage. I hate to tell you that you can only wait but that is pretty much all you can do. I know at 5 to 6 weeks it is really hard to see a fetal pole or anything. Are they having you to come back in a week or so for another u/s?

The bleeding could be almost anything, some of which won't hurt the baby. However if you are having trouble getting a pregnancy to stick make SURE that they test your progesterone levels.

Also, if unfortuneatly you loose this one, or you aren't pregnant please consider consulting and herbalist or naturopath. There are certain plants that you can eat that help nourish the reproductive track, particularly the uterus. These are less herbal treatments then eating certain foods to help you nutritionally. And I don't think any doctor out there can argue a well nourished body works better than one that is not. I know several moms that have had a lot of success. I wouldn't want to recommend anything in particular though.

Sweetie all you can do is wait for the hcg levels to come back and pray. I will pray for you. This happened to me in January and I miscarried and this happened to my friend last year and she has a beautiful 7 month old baby girl. So only the hcg levels can tell u what is going on... I pray for your strength and pray that things will turn out positive for u.

you need to go to the er and have a doctor examine you. we cant tell if your miscarrying. we cant see you or your bleeding and we arent doctors. dont place your medical issues in to the hands of untrained morons call your doctor or go to the hospital and get checked out
