I have this problem with a neighbour who lives upstairs from me. He has one of these small ultrasonic/ high frequency sonic devices which puts out a powerful beam of sound. He aims it into my appartment and at me when i am trying to sleep. This has been going on since i moved into this appartment a year and a half ago, and stops me sleeping all night every night (he lets me get a few hours sleep in the afternoon), but this is not the main problem.

The main problem is that while i am lying down, he is now aiming it at my neck, with it turned up to the most powerful setting. This causes my body to be totally paralysed from the neck down, and when he does this while i am conscious, it seems to go on for about 10 or 15 seconds. He has also done this since i moved in, but now is starting to do this more often, maybe 2 or 3 times a day.

Also, i remember studying in physiology during my undergrad degree, that the breathing centre in the human body is in the brainstem, this is very close to the neck, so i am worried if there is enough power to totally paralyse my spinal cord it may also affect my breathing. In fact sometimes while he does this it is very hard to breath.

Also he is doing this while i am asleep also. I know this because i suddenly feel something is wrong while i am sleeping ,and am trying to wake up and my body will not move. This seems to go on for a long time (probably not that long but it is hard to tell as i am only partly conscious). I feel it seems almost impossible to breath sometimes, to be honest it is hard to tell if i am.

I have contacted the police a few times. One time i suggested to the police officer that i will end up having to buy one of these devices to defend myself, he nodded and smiled, but would not confirm anything verbally. I also told him about this situation of being paralysed by this device from my neighbour and finding it very hard to breath, and he told me that his official response was that i should go and see a doctor to have it checked out. But this was when i didn't know a lot about this device, i only knew that it was a device which made some sort of beam of high pitch sound. Since this officer indirectly suggested that i should get one of these devices, i have done a lot of research since. I have not been able to purchase one, but i have found out a lot of information about it. More recently i spoke to the police about my problem and described the device, and asked if i could do anything like press an assault charge.

They said i maybe able to do this, but i am wondering how i can prove it is coming from the apartment directly above and not 2 floors up. Also, it seems to be some type of group activity, so maybe both are doing this.

I have lived in 3 different apartments in this block of units and had the same problem in each unit. I cannot afford to move anywhere else as my savings are quickly depleting through not being able to work (as i don't get any regular sleep).

I'm not sure what i should do. I do not seem able to purchase one of these devices.

Can anyone please offer me a suggestion of what to do about this legally?

I have a Sonic Deflector that will bounce the sound waves back at him, that I am now selling for $9,999.99. If interested, please email me.

Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity Syndrome

I'm going to treat this as a legit question. EHS is a syndrome that comes from being overly sensitive to EMF fields. If you have moved to three different apartments in the same building, it's not the neighbor doing this. If it's an old building, then it may have old wiring (electrical). The codes back then were not as strict as they are now. If you have very high EMF readings, and you are sensitive to them, it can cause lack of sleep, headaches, muscle aches, minor tiredness, sleepiness or in some cases the reverse and insomnia. It can also cause small seizures, with would feel like paralysis. Also, it causes paranoia among other things. Check the Internet and read about the symptoms of EMF exposure and EHS.

Have someone come out and check your apartment for EMF fields. If they're high there, then more than likely they are all over the building. So it wouldn't matter what apartment you lived in, you would still have problems.

If it's not the case then I have no clue.

Definately harrassment of some kind, 3 different apartments
and the same problems seems extreme, how do you know he is aiming it at your neck? is there a light beam as well?

This i would definately say is an assault if it is proved to be what he is doing. How to prove it is another matter but it seems the neighbour has nothing better to do with his time than harrass and possibly harm people in the same block of flats, I wonder if he is doing it to others in the block as well, which may be why you have had this problem in the 3 different flats.

With the research you have done you could go to the police and ask them to search his flat for the device, paralysing neighbours is not acceptable and is assault.

The persons a nutter!

So sounds like you need proof?
Get an oscilloscope. Take a video recording camera. Put it at night, and record the oscilloscope's activity.

If your local police don't help you, write to someone with higher powers.

I would beat the crap out of that person for doign this kind of thing. No mercy. You have brain damage too, I assume.

As someone said, put foil or anything else that can absorb high frequency sound waves better.

I am surprised that you haven' t done anything about it in the 3 years this is troubling you. I would advise you to go and see your GP check how far your health is affected.
I understand this is mainly happening while you are asleep ?have you actually seen the person doing it ?
Explain your worries to a doctor who might be able to give you a medical statement to proof you are really being attacked, if you are that is.
I can understand that this must be very frightening and hope
your GP will be able to help at all.
Good luck to you.

Now call me cynical, because your question may be perfectly legitimate but if this guy is in the apartment above you when he does this, then how can he actually see you to aim this device at your neck?

What exactly is this device you are talking about? You said you have researched it.

Dude, I am serious. Buy the larg rolls of tinfoil and cover yourself completely with it while you sleep. The signal will reflect back and destroy the atomizer and befib in his ultrasonic device. I might suggest you wearing a tinfoil hat 24/7. Good Luck Man!

Hi sweetie, I can tell you now what is causing this, you are suffering from anxiety attacks, I know this because i used to have them constantly and the symptoms you describe are exactly the same. I would advice you go to your Doc and speak with him about his. Your thoughts that your neighbour is doing this to you are feeding your anxiety attacks. Please don't think that I am being cynical about your fears but I really do believe this is what is happening to you. Best wishes to you x

I am thinking that you should not be taking anymore mind altering drugs, before things really get worst. BUT, if you serious, I suggest that you go to the police and tell them about what you said here.

Have you actually gone and knocked on this blokes door and asked why he is doing this?....has the police spoken to him?........this story does sound a little far fetched to me, that its happened in 3 different appartments.
