you should give www.yousendit.com or www.fileden.com

Yousendit is an upload program, it's free and can send up to 100 mb max. It has limited number of days though for download. 7 days to be exact for free users. Registered users have the advantage of getting a link to the file they sent as well through the e-mail account they use to register. It's easy to use and can be left running on its own.

Fileden is a webhosting site giving users 250mb storage space. It allows uplaods of max 50mb per file. It has no download limit but it does have a storage limit. The files stays in your folders until you decide to delete them. Registering with the site allows you privacy in your files while not registering opens the files you upload for public consumption.

Hope these helps. There's whole lot of sites you can check out but these are the two I'm more familiar with. You can also look into FTP, some find it easier to use.

What you're asking for is impossible. E-mail was not designed for sending large files in any way shape or form. Virtually no e-mail server would allow a file attachment that large. You'll have to find another method to send that file. I would recommend a direct connection using a P2P program or IM program.

Many people have a 10MB limit. So you might be able to SEND, but they still won't get it. But that is not the WORST of it. While people have this limit, and email can grow by as much as 30 percent. That means that they might BOUNCE a 7 MB file attachment.

So what you need to do, is to get an FTP website. Then tell people where to get the DOWNLOAD. I am not sure that this will be FREE, but you can get it really cheap. Look for WebHosting.

You can get a domain name and 100MB of space for $25 per year at http://www.doteasy.com Then it will be YOUR personal download place. You can even host some FLASH video there.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Most ISPs restrict the size of email attachments. So, this is NOT a limitation with the email agent.
To send larger files, upload them to a website and email the link to that. I have transferred files as large as 1.2GB that way.
The additonal advantage with that is, that you only need to upload the file once and can have more people download it.
