Actually, it will still show that you are pregnant. The pregnancy tests measure a hormone that is released during pregnancy, HCG. Your hcg levels increase during pregnancy and just how much it raises depends on how long you were pregnant.

I had a miscarriage and my doctor kept checking my blood to make sure the hcg levels were going down... It took a few weeks for it to go down to undetectable levels.

Since home pregnancy tests checks urine for this hormone, it could still give you a false positive if you already miscarried.

Best of luck!!

I had a miscarriage in 2005 and tested positive on a home pregnancy test . I went to the hospital and the doctors there said everything was fine that its normal for some woman to bleed . 2 weeks or so later i went for my first ultrasound to find that i had miscarried. I showed pregnant on a test until 2 weeks later. It all depends on how long it takes for your hormone levels to go back to normal. I would really see a doctor is my advice.

Usually you will still test positive for a few days or weeks after depending on how far along you are. Just because you are no longer pregnant does not mean your HCG level disappears immediately and that is what a pregnancy test measures.

Depends on how soon you miscarry. If it's within the first couple weeks, it won't, but after that it will. A lot of women miscarry and don't even know it. It just feels like a heavy period. If you think you are, then see your OB, they can examine you and tell you for sure.
