pi represents the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of any circle. pi is approximately 3.14 . Let r = radius of sphere.

The surface area formula for a sphere is S = 4(pi)(r^2).

S = 4(pi)(2^2)
S = 4(pi)(4)
S = 16(pi) which is approximately 50.24 units squared

The volume formula of a sphere is V = (4/3)(pi)(r^3).

V = (4/3)(pi)(2^3)
V = (4/3)(pi)(8)
V = (32/3)(pi) which is approximately 33.50 units cubed
