Cats have no fully-realised concept of "love", they operate on a purely functional basis of need. They need a degree of worship, adoration and affection, and they do whatever is necessary to get that affection. Sometimes, that involves appearing not to want anything to do with you, because it makes you do the running to them. ;o)

They're just temperamental that way. I think they like to play hard to get, which just adds to my personal assumption that I'm really a cat in disguise. I also think that male cats are even more temperamental than female cats, but then again I've only had experience with male cats for the most part. Both my cats are male, and they tend to do exactly what you just asked about. I named them Peas and Carrots, by the way.....

appears like he's determined that its a 'love you, love your cats' project. probable ability he will problem about them even more effective than you'll once you pass away because he would not opt to dissatisfied you by letting some thing ensue to them. If the cats like him and he looks to love them then i ought to say its all good! make effective you educate his canines some love too: because for him it really is probable it really is 'love me, love my canines'. area of being in a relationship is being concerned about the failings your different 1/2 unearths major, so even if he's not tremendous into cats, I doubt he actively dislikes them or acts any in a unique way with them once you aren't any more round!

Cats... Dangerous... They look like they have some secret inside. ALL of them... I have never been fond of them. Are we sure that is all they want. I think they want more... Like world domination.
Now dogs... They could care less, always happy to see you, will be happy with any food including your neighbor's barf if needed when he gets too drunk and passes out on your door step.
See cats won't do that. And cats don't fart. And dogs do fart. And farting dogs are just funny. Sick yes, but funny.
I'm sorry bud, cat's are not that funny. Unless they are in a patch of catnip... That is funny... They get all groovy and weird and spaz out... And when they are tossing up a hair ball. That is funny! (Shrek II?) I know its bad to make fun of a suffering animal... But a cat hacking up a hair ball is funny! But still not as funny as a dog farting...
I realy need to get a life outside of here... I just can't stop though!

Smile. It's their nature to be aloof.
(knowing they're part of an elite species!) In the case of
male cats, it's a survival defence mechanism - quite
attuned to *feline* qualities in an attractive woman.
They're just being careful. *wink*

I primarily got a cat because they are more convenient than dogs and was hoping because of their non-chalant attitude, he would mostly leave me alone. Yeah right!
Skittles smooches me to death so much so that at times I have to beat the little bugger off me just to get 5 minutes of peace....lol
And yes he is MALE.....lol
