Ok, there is some debates about this one. An urine test can tell at the 4 week mark with most women. The blood test an pick up on the hormone in the first week following conception. It just depends on what the doctor feels is right for you. Talk to them and see what they would reccommend. Good luck and if you are pregnant, then start taking care of yourself!

I think it is about the same time as you can tell with an OTC pregnancy test. As a matter of fact, when I knew I was pregnant, I called and they didnt' want to confirm or anything.
The OTC pregnancy tests (per a commercial I saw) can detect a pregnancy test 5 days before a missed period. I would think a doctor's office wouldn't even want to see you until at least a few days until after you had missed, just to be sure.

Typically implatation of a fertilized egg occurs between 6 and 10 days after ovulation. Until the egg burrows into the uterine wall hcg will not register. You can have blood work done roughly 6 days past ovulation on. Your best bet is to wait 10 to 14 days after the day you ovulated to have any tests done.

Clinics now have pregnancy tests that are so sensitive that they can tell if you are one day pregnant. Atleast that is what the nurse told me when they tested me. The test they use is very sensitive. So go to the doctor if you want the earliest results.
