Many Catholic churches do not allow the classic wedding march nor the famous recession music which are popularly used. They are considered secular music, and the Roman Catholic church does not allow, in most cases, secular music. Sacred or classical music may be played.

Catholics and Lutherans sometimes use Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring as an alternative to the Wedding March.

In current day, I believe it's known as "Here Comes the Bride" - at least that's the only title I've known it by, but after searching Google, I found that the correct title is actually "Bridal Chorus". Hope this helps.
