Unskilled jobs don't usually pay well, since they can be done by pretty much anybody with minimal training.

Unskilled jobs that are dirty or undesirable, or require significant physical exertion, can pay decently.

Good luck.

Hello,

(ANS) The Truth of the matter is that unskilled jobs are becoming harder to find because there is fierce competition for them (those that do exist) even when they do become available.

Further more, many English people don't want to take unskilled work these days because another truth is that unskilled jobs DON'T by there very nature pay very well.

Meaning that the vast majority of unskilled work here in the UK is low or badly paid. Perhaps the only thing that can be said is that to make any decent wage from low or unskilled work can ONLY be done by working extra hours, extra shifts, or extra long hours (over time) per week.

Examples of unskilled work would be:-

Call centre jobs such as market research, customer service again phone based, phone based selling services, taking inbound customer calls.

Labor intensive jobs, such as work on building sites, roofing work, farming laboring, Fruit picking and seasonal picking work. Food packing.

Driving, Van driving, Lorry driving (but with an ordinary full UK license).

**Low wage would be anything below £8 per hour.

I was told by my college teacher a while back the govt. was planning to make every job require a qualification.

Depending on where you look (probably best to go to large companies), some cleaning jobs can pay a lot.
