"Manny Ramirez? dosent he play baseball for the Red Socks?" The Lions are going 2 suck next year like always they haven't been good since Barry Sanders played & u still never made the playoffs. Not to mention the fact your Lions are going 2 end up ruining what could have been a Hall of Fame career for Calvin Johnson just like Mike & Roy Williams probably the two best receivers in the past 2 drafts. You cant do anything with wide receivers when u dont have a quarterback 2 throw them the ball, but ull say we got Drew Stanton HAHAHA hell turn out 2 be a good back up some where. But in a perfect world ur team should have passed on Calvin Johnson kept Mike Williams & drafted Brady Quinn b/c then u would have had a franchise QB thats actually good, then in about a year or two after u help out your o-line & your defense u would be a playoff team; But no, draft another great wide reciever and QB whos not going 2 turn out any better than the one u've already got. In order to get better the Lions need to fire there idoit general manager & hire someone who understands football & how to construct a winning team. Nothing against you, but ur teams going 2 suck again this year. But hey all that means is ull get 1st pick in next years draft mabe by then ull have a new GM who wont keep screwing ur team over. GO TITANS!!!!!

Drew Stanton will be behind Jon Kitna. Calvin Johnson is #2 receiver. Lions split carries between Bell and TJ Duckett. The others have a shot at starting during pre-season/training camp. However, the Lions won't be an instantly improved team. There are more wholes to address.
They could go as low as 2-14 to 5-11, depending on how the team fights out a pretty tough schedule. I think 4-12 though. Once Drew Stanton is ready though, he could become a great passer. This has been one of the better Lions' drafts

The good thing for the Lions is that they are in a weak division. The Bears are the best in the North just because of their defense. The Packers could be good if they get a decent RB and their D holds up. The Vikings have a decent D but need some WRs and a QB. I think the lions could finish as high as 2nd in the division if the running game will help open up the passing game. No doubt in a couple years Roy WIlliams and Calvin Johnson will be the best WR duo in the NFL, they just need a running attack that wont allow the other teams to sit back in nickle and dime coverage and a QB to keep getting them the ball. Ill be nice and say the lions finish 2nds in the division with a 8-8 record.

It will take a few years and a few more good drafts to compete. If they win more than 6 games this year Id call it a success. The OL still sucks. Need some CB, LB, and a healthy Kevin Jones. Tatum Bell has fumbling problems and ran in one of the best rushing offenses in the league. Broncos running backs never seem to put up those numbers again when they leave. Johnson should be good. Stanton will be on the bench learning for the year. Ernie Simms needs some help.

An NFC North Championship in the next 2 years. Possibly next year. We will be Superbowl contenders in no time with the players we are picking up.
10-6 next year 5-1 in the NFC North.
R52L -- Did you watch the Lions last season? Kitna threw for over 4,000 yards last season, and he really wasn't sacked too much. The O-Line is really pretty solid with Backus and Raiola in there. Picking a lineman would have been for depth, if anything. Johnson will produce this year, and we will have more than just Roy Williams as a deep threat. What we need, if anything, is solid play at the RB position. They failed to deliver last season, and it was not the fault of the O-Line.
All the people who said the Lions O-Line sucks--
Why? Kitna threw for 4,000 yards last season! Stop talking out of your rear ends! At least pretend you watched the Lions play last season, because I did.

They still don't have the most important part of an offense, the offensive line. You can bring in all the flashy players you want, but if you don't have it where it counts, then you won't get anything done. So you got Calvin Johnson, how is he going to get the ball when the quarterback is running for his life all game long? He isnt, which is why they are going to go 7-9 at best.

2006 record: 3-13
2007 Draft choices were AWESOME but aren't enough to fix all of their issues. Johnson will make an impact, Stanton will hold a clipboard for a year and Kitna won't get them over the hump.
2007 record: 5-11

5-11 Shouldn't have gotten Calvin Johnson, Brady Quinn would have been a better fit.

the offense will be explosive but the defense will be terrible, even worse than last year
7-9 is possible though
