Society is dull, isn't it? Do others feel like me?

Society is all based on peer pressure. We have do certain things, inorder to belong. The majority of it is based on looks. I hate it here. People bore me. Other people cause the depression inside me. I'd like to move far away, somewhere where I'm some us a face in the crowd. I have so much in me. The energetic, vibrant personality I have is cover up by societys "shoulds." What's so great about life? Not depressed or anything, but have been bored for a year or so. Happiness is fleeting. Tell me something interesting.

I wish we didn't have faces. People are so superficial. I'm not attractive so I am left out most of the time.

Why do you subscribe to society's ideals. You are one of a kind. God only made one person exactly you. You are unique. Why ruin that in trying to be like others. My philosophy is that society must meet my standards, not the other way around. I look at each day as a new challenge to accomplish what so many others cannot.....enjoy life. I don't follow the yellow brick road. I venture into the unknown. And who said you aren't attractive? Society? Just look at them....what do they know? You are as attractive as you choose to be. If you tell yourself you're ugly, then you are. If you tell yourself you are beautiful then no one else can hold a candle to you. Chin up love. The world is there for your pleasure. Get your armor on, sharpen that sword and get ready to kick some butt.

You're making way too much of "society."
Sounds like you're hanging out with the wrong people if they make you depressed.

Stick to your friends that really love you. Quality is better than quantity. Find another job if yours makes you miserable. You can make your unhappiness a temporary inconvenience. Don't accept it as a way of life.

I gave you a star to help cheer you up. Now go do something that makes you happy.

Edit: I get you about where you live. Most people suck here too. Sometimes just a different area makes a huge difference.

Dull?

Why dont you go on an adventure around the world..or your hometown. Make a research of a community. But I think you are not very grateful of what you had. Apreciate what you receive and what you offer even a penny worth.

OR

You do something never been done in your life.....running naked in crowds....stealing...fighting...burn someone's house..rape....After that get in jail and think what life is....regretting. Trust me...it will work.

Life is what you make it. We only have one chance, so make the best of it...live every second as if it were your last. Not enough time to sulk or be angry or upset or to question why things happen. Accept every day for what it is and stop to smell the roses along the way! PS Dont waste your time or energy on what other people think....they are no better than you. My Dad always said, "someone may have more money than you, someone may be better looking than you, or maybe even smarter than you, but NOBODY is better than you". Ive been living that for my entire life and its still all good!

YES!! I just don't get most people by how the way they act and such. That's why I never leave the house and never want to talk to anybody. I hate the world and everyone in it! I wish everyone would just go away!

I'm left out of stuff because I have two kids! I don't get invited to frat parties and stuff. (not that I'd want to anymore!) lol There are a lot of reasons besides looks that make people persona non grata!

You do not have to cover up. Come on out and be who you are. I did and even though I was thought to be weird, crazy and all that in my young years and even a little bit now in my mature years, I am still TRUE TO MYSELF BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY ONE SHOT AT LIFE, BE HAPPY IN IT.

It's really a matter of perspective isn't it? ..i personnally feel peer pressure is something you put yourself through..there is always an option to refuse it. society is what you make out of it.you dont belong to it.it belongs to you, for that you need to belong to yourself n acknowledge who you are.

Sounds like you're still looking for what and who inspires you and are judging something that is too nebulous and general for sterotyping.
