It's possible that during the surgery a nerve was damaged or pinched. You should have followed that up earlier on, but you should mention it to your doctor now.

I have the exact same problem and your nerve was cut during the surgery and you will never have feeling in that part of your lip again. They can repair the nerve by using a nerve from your heel or somewhere else, but they have to get to the nerve from the outside of the face and you will have scars. The only way you might have had it fixed is within a couple of months after the surgery. Other than that the chance of you having feeling in your lip again is only like 40 percent or so. I choose just to live with it instead of having a surgery that doesn't guarantee that i will ever have feeling in my lip again.

NO, that is not normal. this probably means you have nerve damage.

Befor they did your surgery didnt they talk to you about the "slim" possiblity of having permenant nerve damage? I would go back to the original person who did your surgery and talk to then and see if there is anything u can do.
