How can I stop the internet connection switching to offline?

I switched over from my phone company (very slow and bad service) to a broadband connection. Now whenever i enter an address it switches to offline and asks for my dial-up connection. Even if I go to file and uncheck it, it still reverts to offline.

Have you gone into IE tools, options, connections and told it to either never dial or to dial only when not present? I would try that first.
