the laptop will turn on, there is sound. but, the screen is black.
I have tryed to turn up the light. Nothing is working.
Please help. I do not want them on my computer.

I dont know the model of the laptop but try and switch video output to LCD by pressing the [fn] key + another key that has a screen icon on it. it should come up.

Call the Geek Squad (800-433-5778) or contact your manufacturer.
Win Startup may be corrupted or there is a virus. Try to remember if you/your son DOWNLOADED ANYTHING before this started. This may have caused it.

Call your laptop manufacturer's tech support line. It sounds like Windows is corrupted and won't boot.

His LCD screen has a lamp that may have blown out.
Go here or someplace similar. They are not that hard to DIY.
