in another thread i asked what power supply i'd need for a 7800GS+ video card - (with Giga-Byte GA-8IPE1000 motherboard) - but is there any way I can find out what watt power supply is inside currently?? thx

Easy! Open the side panel and take a peek. The label that indicates the rating is usually visible.
