I just got a new tank with a marineland BIO WHEEL filter. It holds one comet red cap goldfish. Recently a small amount of bubbles has appeared on the rim of the tank. The water levels and Ph levels are correct and there is only water condidtioners and some microoraganisms I got in a bottle. Is this normal?

Bubbles that pop after a very short time are no problem at all. If they seem to hang around quite a while and even collect up in the corners of the tank, that usually indicates a protein build up in the tank. Nothing a quick water change won't take care of in minutes. I would suspect the microorganisms in a bottle to be the source of the extra protein.

yes, bubbles at the top of the tank are perfectly fine.It is probably just your filter or even your fish could cause it.Otherwise, you may just need to cleen your tank.If your bubbls are yellow that also may mean that your tank is very dirty and somettime you cant even tell by looking at it which could make your fish sick.
