We are already missing lebda and puts a rookie Quincy in..... Now who is going to take Schneiders place.....That was a big loss for us.... I know we still have a great team but he's one of our top defensemen.... That leave Lidstrom and Chelios.... Draper can play some good defense even though his position is being a Center..... We are definetly are going to miss him in the line up...... Go Wings!!!!!!

And Yeah I know Detroit will step it up but he is going to be missed and San Jose is going to try to use this to their advantage...... I didn't see when he broke his wrist yesterday though I know it was a hit from Marleau....

It didnt hurt them too badly yesterday. They scored all their goals and defended the entire game without him. It is going to hurt no doubt...it always does when a top defenceman goes down but that is part of playoff hockey. They still have Lidstrom, Chelios, Markov ans Lilja as the top 4 guys with Quincey and possibly Lebda (he is supposed to be skating and may be close to returning). if not they can use Derrick Meech who did play a few games earlier this season in Det. and is very similar to Lebda with his game. Or they could use the huge Swedish kid Johathon Ericcson (he has worked with Lidstrom) and he would provide a big body around the net. They will be fine...they are a veteran team and have experience with this type of thing. It would be easier if Schneider were playing but the Stanley Cup runs are never easy.

I think the Wings can still knock off San Jose since they have two shots to win one game, but Schneider's loss is going to be a big deal against the Ducks.
You're starting to look like Buffalo did against Carolina in last year's playoffs. Hurtin' on the D line.

There is a world of difference, between a defensman, and a defensive forward. Lebda is supposed to be back, if not, Meech is pretty good, at least from what I saw of him in GR. They will deal with it. Kronwall, was not a huge loss, since he looks lost out there alot of the time. Lilja has been huge in the playoffs, and if Kronwall hadnt been hurt, Lilja would be on the bench. Now is the time for Markov, to show why we signed his @ss in the first place.

Its definately a big lose, but the team doesn;t consist of two players. Some of the third and fourth string lines are just gonna have to step it up a bit.

Yea we are definately gunna miss him but .. If the Players dwell about that as much as we are .. THEN we are in trouble. They just need to get over it and Realize that each one of them have to Output that much more Energy and Will to cover the loss of Schneider. Wings can do it !

Our guys will all kick it up a notch.People forget that Zetterberg and Franzen play pretty good defense.We are a well rounded team .Holmstrom , Maltby and Draper always find a way to find that extra stuff in tough times.GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess Chelli and Nicky will be really be put to the test.......they have a lot of talent in Grand Rapids.......I hope they can draw from that.......Not gonna be easy, but it has not been easy so far..........Big shoes to fill...
