Strikeout for the pitcher.

Putout recorded as 2-3 (assuming it's the first baseman who takes the throw). Caught third strikes are recorded as a putout for the catcher.

It's a strikeout even if the catcher doesn't throw the batter out at first and the batter reaches base.

And if he does throw the batter out at first, it's a strikeout for the p, a putout for the 1b, and an assist for the c. Most strikeouts are scored as a putout for the c, but not these.

But if the ball is dropped, the catcher still has to throw to first to try and get him out. A rare feat is a pitcher getting four strikeouts in one inning because of this.

Yes even if he doesn't throw the runner out it will still go in the books as a strike out with an error so really you can have any amount of strike outs in an inning!!!

Still a strike out. But even if the runner is safe it is still a SO.So a pitcher coud have more then three SO in an inning.

yes yes yes 1 2 3 strikes you are running with lackluster to 1st but alas you are out as catcher in all his gear tages you out or throws you out still a strike out.

yes it would be. even if the catch doesn't get the guy out at first its still a K. That how a pitcher can have 4 strikeouts in an inning.
