Is it possible to put limits on racial discrimination if there is no such thing as race?

technically and genetically, this is correct. however, for all practical purposes and BECAUSE of genetics and evolution, we humans are predisposed to caution and wariness of those who look, act, and sound different from ourselves...hence, races. and because we behave as stated, whenever inequity, inequality, bigotry and yes, racism rear their ugly heads and we are in a position or have a government willing to stand against these things, we enact legislation to prevent, correct, or level the playing field. THAT is just ONE of the many things that make this counrty great.

Well, if there was no race, sure, there would not be 10% of the population that couldn't enter a restaurant or use the same bathroom as white people. My grandfather would have been able to get a loan for his farm, and my father might have been allowed to go into the library and go to the school that actually had teachers with college degrees.

on a biological level there is not race, however culturally race is very real in the usa and people of certain races are still discriminated against. So yes it neccesary.
