I'm thinking if the stain went through the cloth, you'll probably have to pull the seat out, disassemble it and remove the seat cloth trim to replace the cushion foam material. Any cleaning of the cloth will not totally get out the diesel in the foam cushion and it will wick back into the cloth over time..you may be able to cut out the area of the cushion where the stain is and just replace the foam in that section without having to replace the entire cushion...a fabric store or upholstery shop will probably have some matching foam. Or find a matching seat in a salvage yard, if possible.
Good luck, Paul

Try to find a citrus based cleaner. Try to look at a automotive parts supply store. This citrus based cleaner will not dissolve
the foam under the material. A added bonus ( if you like it )
is the cleaner will leave a citrus smell not a harsh chemical smell.
Spraying directly on the seat, a little at a time and blotting with a dry cloth.
The one product that I had used is 3M product. It is labled as a citrus based cleaner, works great and smells even better.

"Spot Shot" Carpet cleaner and vacuum the heck out of the damp spot. Using a damp cloth spray the spot shot scrub the area and use the vacuum to suck dry the area. Spot Shot is made by WD-40 corp and smells much better than diesel. Otherwise I would use Nissan Fabric cleaner and the same procedure.

try some mechanics hand cleaner like gojo. even gojo will not get it completely out, but it will do better than anything else. over time the smell will have to evaporate out.

----------
you put the gojo on there. work it in real good. let it sit for a little while. then wet it with water and vacuum it with a strong vacuum like a shop vac or a car wash vacuum. it might take 2 or 3 applications of water. let the water soak in good.
