Have you considered Jeremiah 29:11-13, though written to Israel. It could apply to any who truly seek.

I'm nearing 50 and as long as I can still believe that there's a purpose for my existence, I guess the search for significance will continue. It seems that along with everything else, though, that meanings of things constantly change from moment to moment so that what was meaningful yesterday is not so today. So, if I can maintain a sense of meaning, despite all the madness going on around me, the quest for significance should remain unaltered.

Super question...Star!!

Long back I switched to searching for the significant and that too has gone with the wind. Is everything really futile after all?

Yes because I've found significance. I know what's important and gives life meaning: love.

i live my life day by day
if i prove to be significant then good
if not well too bad
its important that i live my life instead of trying to please the un-pleaseable
