It depends what you are looking for. If you want a cheap me, the diner at the Golden Gate gives good value.

The coffee shop at The Horseshoe is simple, bit good.

Main Street has a nice Brew Pub if you like good beer.

If you want fine dining, I can suggest Don B's at Fitzgeralds. I have never been there, but I have heard it is good.

My favorite is Battista's Hole in the Wall. It is located on Flamingo, behind the Flamingo casino.

It's totally authentic italian and by far the best I have had anywhere! It isn't real cheap, but not totally ridiculous either.

Here's how it goes:
You choose the pasta or meat you want (chicken parm, fettucine, etc.) The menu is on the wall and has prices next to each entree. They range from $18 to $27.

Then, they bring you bread and a salad along with whatver you ordered to drink, if anything. Not a lot of people order anything besides water because you get wine with your meal. They put two caraffes (sp?) of wine of the table when they give you your bread. You get one white and one red. This is bottomless.

After you eat your bread and salad they bring the entree.

For dessert they bring really really good Cappucinos.

So even though it seems like a lot of money, you get a ton of stuff!
I would highly recommend it!! :)

You can see the Fremont St. light show from certain tables at the Plaza, but I've never eaten there.
I only go downtown to drink!
