No competitive sports where someone needs to be the looser so someone else can win offend many people.

No. Of course not. What do you mean by 'wrong'?
Different people have different interests. I was never into sports and I'm still not into sports at all. I was always into things like movies and comics and science fiction. Is there anything wrong with a teenage girl that does not enjoy wearing makeup or clothes shopping?

There is nothing wrong with a boy who does not enjoy sports. You do not have to like sports, be competitive, be aggressive, or macho to be male. It does not imply homosexuality, feminism or any other trait it simply means that he has other interests. He will grow up just fine.

Pirate,
Why would it be wrong? I hate to play sports, but I love to watch them played by other people. I happen to be very poor in sports so I never enjoyed playing. It's possible the boy you are talking about is like me and he feels very embarrassed when he plays so he stays away for his own self preservation.

Not at all, I have several in my network who write beautifully. I read a splendid sonnet by Stephen Rodriguez yesterday (he's 19) and one by James Wren today (he's 16). Liam Smith (18), Gabriel(14), Farid (18), and Endy (17) also are excellent but they seldom post poems here anymore. I wrote rhymed and metered verse at 15 and had already perfected my sense of rhythm even earlier. It's not weird in the least, but it is uncommon. These however are uncommon young men.

Not at all. No one says you have to enjoy sports and if you don't enjoy them, that's fine. Don't let anyone tell you any different.
Enjoy the things you do like.

Of course not. There's nothing unusual or wrong at all -- though he will need to get enough exercise somehow.
