Do people themselves who happen to be controlled by this very fears represent the primary threat which they attempt to defy?
Is it anyhow possible to realize whether oneself is plainly obsessed or just bothered? How is the borderline between prejudice and reality to be located?

Ha ha... Yes people who fear things often become them. just like the girl whos mother turns out like her grandmother... that same girl turns into her mother.

I think it almost goes deep enough to say that when we fear becoming something it is for reasons which we dont consciously realise. Like, if we feared becoming like our mother, at the same time, we also admire her and love her.

As we try and be the admiration and the love, we take on the feared parts without realising.

I think they do represent the threat yes, but I think they also know that the reasons they fear something can also be the same reasons they become it...

Hope that makes sense - it made sense in my head :P

I think not! besides, prejudice and reality are two very different things and have no bearing on your question. If ones primary fear is fear itself, then we must define fear as the fear of ones inner-self! It's usually ones fear of their surroundings, which then, can become reality! Which is within the context of your conclusions. Have a good day.

Fear is the root cause of all problems and sufferings.Fear comes out of ignorance. If you acquire knowledge ,you can over come fear.People fail because they fear and donot try to overcome it be getting knowledge/educated.
Prejudice is another thing you can avoid. If you try to know and think prejudice can be avoided.

I would say that you can become what you hate more than what you fear. Fears usually are not that bad when you face them. But its easier to get gain qualities that you hate, about someone else if you obsess about them.
