This won't help for ths time but I always leave my keys in my riding jacket. Then it's just automatic, you put on your protective gear and there are your keys.

Another tip. Put the question out of your mind and go about your daily routine. The stress of trying to remember will interfere with your thought process. In a relaxed state, without thinking about your problem, it just might pop into your head.
Then again, you can go the locksmith route.

Close your eyes. Relax. Really. Try to think back to what you were doing when you last had it in your hand. Guide your mind through the memory slowly, until you remember.
Or call a locksmith, and pay a pretty penny for another key
