It really all depends on whether or not you find erotica arousing. And, of course, there are many different genres of erotica. The key is in choosing the right director. Try some films by female director Candida Royale. (see good link below).
We've been married almost 37 years, and we've always enjoyed viewing adult material together.

my long term girlfriend has watched some porn with me, she just said that I should never expect her to look like the girls in the video's.
It gave us some new ideas, some new activity's to switch up the routine, and not only did it get me going, but I came home one day from work and found the DVD in the player!! (it was put away last I knew!!) that and we went from going at it twice a week to 8 or 9 times a week!!
I think the key is to get a good video, not just some cheesy crud that he picked out for his alone time, pick it out with him or pick it out yourself.

My husband & I watch porn together. I gets us in the mood. But, It doesn't usually take very long...Then I'm done with the movie. And, It can't be one with gross looking people doing it. You know, fat old hairy men, and girls with flab and bad boob jobs. In otherwords, if you do decide to watch I recommend buying a tastefully done flim. Not low budget.

If you're not sure, try starting with something soft core. Lots of nudity and implied sex. If you both like that, then look into some other genres.
One caution: There may be some surprises regarding what you each like, so be prepared for a possible revelation.

go for it provided it is mutually agreed and keep in mind that whatever you see are played by people who were paid to do it so don't ever compare nor comment about each others sexual performance (or lack thereof).
Take some tips or new ways to purely enjoy intimacy but not sex.
