I was on a ghost tour of a castle and I looked into another room and I saw a figure of a man by the fireplace who was shouting "Dead 1587" What should I do, contact it again or run or what? P.S. I'm not in the castle now but wondering what I should do

It wasn't an actor, this was at 8 o'clock at night, it wasn't Disneyland! It was in Scotland somewhere, I can't remeber the name of the area but I was staying with my aunt and she told us of this ghost walk. I didn't expect anything to happen, it was more of a social event than anything else.

I dont's think anyone else saw it, I think it meant he dies in 1587 and he was semi-transparant.

there are a LOT of details you need to add. Did anyone else see or hear the ghost? When he said "1587" did he mean a year (fifteen eighty seven) or a number (one thousand, five hundred and eighty seven)? Was it transparant, translucent or opaque? If the ghost the year 1587 it could mean the year that
Mary queen of scots was beheaded. If so, and no-one else heard it or saw it, it could mean you are a desendant of the queen or someone who was important to the beheading. If he meant 1587 as a number, and he looked more modern than the year 1587, then he could be refering to the 1587 missing people (more information given in the sources) try to give as much information on the sighting of the ghost. It narrows down what it could mean. If enough detail can be added to your answer (anything that can narrow it down) then it can be easier to tell if you are dealing with a real ghost or a fake one, and if real (which I think is quite likely) it can be worked out what he was trying to say.

Was it semi-transparent or solid? I've never seen a ghost myself, but every single person in my family has, and in all of the stories of ghost sightings that I've heard, the ghosts are semi-transparent. If it was, then you can do some research on people who died in that castle in 1587. If it was solid, then just forget about it, it could have been a living person.

Whether it was really there or not; whether it was staged by the castle or not; whether it was in your mind or not; whether it was real or not; whether people belive you or not - none of these really matter. You don't have to do anything. Just accept it.

People see ghosts all the time. My daughter says she saw one 2 years ago when she was 12. She was terrified. She was a bright, normal child then as she is now. What - do I call her a liar or a smack-head? Course not. Something happened and she was affected. Maybe she saw a ghost, maybe she imagined it, maybe the light or her mind was playing tricks. Who knows? Why does it matter?

To this day she says she saw a ghost. But she didnt try to contact it again and she didn't run a mile. Now she's fine.

You don't have to do anything. I had a friend that was in one of the castles and didn't see a ghost but kept having things to move and tug at him. He picked up a rock and told it to go with him if he wanted. This guy was in the army at the time and then returned home. Was stationed at Fort Campbell and got engaged and married. He still had the stone and things was still happening to things in his apartment. Drove his wife nuts. He told the ghost to stop doing some of the things or he was gonna throw the stone away in the river and those things stopped. Alot of us saw things happening there like they had told us and it seemed that this ghost was a very funny practical joker. You don't have to contact or do anything just enjoy that you saw one of the wonders of other world, not everyone gets to.

There is no need to contact the spirit that you seen- you went on a ghost tour- isn't this what you were looking for? You need do nothing. If you feel you need to look at alternative spiritual aspects when the time is right it will happen and it won't be via a ghost shouting at you in a castle. It was an experience. one that presumably you were hoping for- it proved to you that there were ghosts.Let it lie.

I dont know whether you saw a ghost at 8pm or about "1587", but i'll tell you of two or three Scottish castles to check up on. Hermitage[DE] in Roxburghshire, one of the most notorious castles in Scotland. It was the awesome fortress of lord Soulis, black magician and murderer of children-a sinister scottish Gilles de Rais. The villagers eventually rose in revolt and threw him into a cauldron of molten lead.his restless spirit attended by his familiar,Robin Redcap,th whom he entrusted the key to the castle with buried treasure.

Caldenoch Castle,west of lochnaw castle.

Inveraray Castle[O.P.]

Lochnell Castle.

Barcaldine Castle.[O.P.A.]

Ghosts in castles in Europe and the UK have become a cottage industry...people are charging and making money. Unfortunately the ghosts are real and could do with some understanding rather than exploitation.

nothing. asuming your sure it wasn't part of the tour, it was probably all in your mind. You were on a ghost tour so you were already in a very suggestive state and your mind at the best of times is wired to find faces etc were it can.

I know it may seem very real to you. I my self have had some similar experiances, but trust that there will be a rational explanation... by all means go back and search this thing out, i garantee you will be disapointed. Our minds are easily fool themselves sir

Nothing really, its very common to see a ghost in a castle but I would say that this one is trying to give info in some form. Maybe go back and see what happens - the chance of you seeing it again is very slim i would imagine

You heard a ghost?
A ghost is the absorbed energy from your brain when you die.
The energy is your memory. Floating, dreaming, into the unknown.
It cannot physically interact. It can attach itself to an empty cerebral cortex. This uploads the physical memory for reincarnation or possession. Just enough (finding the I).
