I'm sorry to hear your plans were ruined. I used to have horrendous periods but due to my age, they are becoming easier. So I know exactly how you feel. It's pretty common to get nausea with your period but it shouldn't be to the extent that you vomit continuously through the night. Perhaps there is something else causing that. It's possible, it's just not that common. I'm wondering if something else is going on, too. Maybe you ate something that didn't agree with you? The next time you have nausea with your period, you can try something over the counter called, "Emetrol". It comes in a great tasting liquid and is for nausea. Take one or two doses and your nausea will stop! It's the best thing I've ever used for it. If you continue to vomit regularly and heavily like this on a regular basis with your periods, I would get it checked out just to make sure nothing else is going on. Hope this helps!

It sounds like you had a rotten night. Poor thing. I have extremely painful periods normally and get feverish as well as nauseous.

My advice would be to go and see your doctor about it as feeling like that for up to a week every month is not fun by any means. There is a lot of stuff available to remedy PMS and you shouldn't have to feel this bad.

I believe that I am just more sensitive to my hormones (or I create more!) but it is little comfort when you feel rubbish.

Talk to you doc and make sure that they know how bad it is for you. They should do tests to check there isn't an underlying problem but ultimately be able to find you something to relieve the way you feel.

If you are prescribed meds, try not to take them every month as I found I only needed them 3 or 4 times a year. Obviously, take them if you need them. You may also want to think about the contraceptive pill as that can significantly ease PMS.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

I get that too. The only thing I find helps is ensuring I'm not too tired. The nausea is worse if I'm really tired. I might try that Emetrol that Gail suggested. Good luck!

I have had issues with nausea because of my period and it turned out I had something wrong. That's good that you are going to see what the dr says to see if they can help you to figure out what is going on.
